Six ribs, cut from wood, for shaping and smoothing clay with a softer touch than steel. Each profile is different, so the right one glides along a wall or rim without dragging or marking the surface.

Use them for shaping walls, defining rims and smoothing curves, and for cleaning feet or compressing a surface once the shape is set. Choose by profile: match the curve of the rib to the curve you're working.

Cut from a mix of hardwoods, including locust, jujube, beech and ironwood, so grain and colour vary slightly piece to piece.

  • Shape 5: 14 x 2.5cm

Wipe clean and dry fully. Don't soak them, wood ribs that sit wet lose their edge over time.
