The Dome, Tungsten Carbide Trimming Tool
The Dome, Tungsten Carbide Trimming Tool
A tungsten carbide trimming tool for rounded work. The large curved edge and the flat side give several cutting angles in one tip, so you can follow a bellied profile and then cut a crisp line under a foot ring without changing tools.
The handle is aluminium, light and rust-resistant, with a silicone grip. Tungsten carbide holds an edge far longer than steel and is brittle in the same way fired ceramic is, so a drop onto a hard floor can chip a tip. Tips are replaceable, so that means a new tip rather than a new tool.
Made by Tortuga Tools. Fourteen grip colours in their range; we stock Moss, Pepper and Blueberry.
