Measuring Compass
Measuring Compass
A graduated bar with a sliding head and a fine steel point, locked at any position with a thumbscrew. Set it once and every pot in a run is measured against the same mark rather than against your eye.
Useful for matching a lid to a pot, keeping a batch of mugs to the same height and width, scribing a circle, and marking where a handle sits so a set of six actually looks like a set.
Three versions, which work identically and differ in weight and feel: black plastic, wood, and copper.
