Trimming tools tipped with carbide, a very hard material that holds a cutting edge far longer than plain steel. The direct alternative to the tungsten range, aimed at potters who trim often and want an edge that doesn't need constant honing.
Work leather-hard clay with light pressure and let the hard edge do the cutting: foot rings, profiles, tidying walls and bases. Match the shape to the job, the thinner-handle version of Shape A suits smaller hands or finer control.
Wipe dry and store so the tips don't knock together. Carbide is hard but can chip if dropped, hone with a diamond file if the edge dulls.
