The BuschKraft Dragonfly Pottery Carving Tool Complete Starter Kit is a 21 piece carving set: three Dragonfly universal handles, 15 carving blades in three variety packs, and three inner grip components. Made in the USA and designed by Nicholai Busch.

  • Three Dragonfly universal handles, supplied without tips.
  • Three variety blade packs of five blades each, 15 blades in all. Arc: small pointed, medium pointed, medium square, medium round, small round. Detail 1: fine pointed, small pointed, medium rounded, medium chisel, medium P-shape. Detail 2: small square, medium square, medium football, large round, small round.
  • Three inner grip components, which let you fit a standard pencil grip or make your own.

The Arc blades pull deep grooves that catch glaze. The Detail blades cover fine lines, outlines, sgraffito, relief carving, geometric marks and calligraphic strokes.

How the Dragonfly works: a knurled metal handle, inspired by drafting pens, holds each tip in a collet that grips any solid shaft between 3 and 4.5mm, so tips swap by hand with no extra tools. The body is machined, anodised aluminium; the collet and blade pin are stainless steel.
