TEA DUST stoneware glaze

from £17.00

Brush on glaze

1240 - 1280 C / Orton Cone 5-8

The shiny dark Tea Dust ceramic brush-on glaze presents a deep black/brown glossy finish, accentuated by subtle speckling within the surface. Its surface quality and colour exhibit variation based on layering, with a minimum of three coats recommended to achieve optimal results. Thinner applications yield a brown or honey hue, underscoring the importance of patience between coats for proper drying. The distinctive tea dust variegation effect is influenced by factors such as glaze thickness, clay composition, firing temperature, and kiln cooling.

How to Apply

A ready to use glaze for brush on applications. Before use stir well, ensuring mix is evenly distributed and no sediment remains. For even cover apply 2-3 coats with a brush or sponge. For diverse results, experiment with coats and method but ensure your kiln shelves are well protected. Keep in mind that there will be slight variations, please test accordingly. Results are usually affected by thickness of application, temperature and firing cycles.

We ship in 2-7 working days. GLOST does not currently cover TAX on any international order.
