Three roles open at our Peckham studio. Applications close 31 May 2026.

A year ago we were testing recipes in a corner of a small studio. Today we have a Peckham shop, a growing range of glazes in production, a community of makers, and a small team holding it all together.

To keep growing well, and to keep the work honest, we're opening three new positions at GLOST. Two paid roles and one structured exchange placement. Each one is described in full below.

Studio Manager Senior, part-time

Part-time · 10–15 hours/week ·

A senior, part-time role for an experienced ceramicist who can take operational ownership of our Peckham studio. You'll be the senior person on shift, handling production quality, customer escalations, supplier relationships, and team oversight.

This is a hands-on role. Not a desk role. You need at least three years of managerial or supervisory experience and an extensive ceramics practice.

Pay based on experience. What's included: Free workshop attendance (when space allows), 20% staff discount on all materials, possible paid teaching opportunities, ongoing CPD including fire safety and H&S training.

You're right for this if you Have at least 3 years' managerial or supervisory experience, are a practising or trained ceramicist with deep knowledge of clay, glazes and kilns, and are confident handling escalations, suppliers, and team dynamics.

Studio Assistant Part-time

Pay based on experience · Minimum 8 hours/week · Self-employed

A hands-on, varied role across order fulfilment, the shop floor, stock, and glaze packaging. Suits someone who likes to keep moving and gets satisfaction from running things smoothly.

You'll work alongside the Studio Manager and other Studio Assistants. The work is real and the studio depends on it being done properly.

You're right for this if you Are a practising or trained ceramicist, are reliable and self-directed, and are comfortable with customer-facing work.

Work Exchange Programme

Two placements · One day a week · Six months · For students and early-career ceramicists

A structured two-way exchange for students and early-career ceramicists who want hands-on time in a working glaze studio. One day a week, for six months. You support the studio. We support your practice.

What you get: Free workshop attendance (when space allows), materials at cost, kiln space and time for your own test work, mentoring conversations with Elena and the Studio Manager, a reference at the end.

What you give One reliable day a week across packaging, shop floor, and production support. Curiosity. Willingness to ask questions.
