GLOST is a walk-in ceramic supply shop and working glaze studio in Peckham, South London. We are one of very few pottery supply stores in London, and the only one in Zone 2. Everything we make is made here: small-batch glazes, formulated and tested in the same arch you buy them from.

GLOST glazes. Our own range, made on site in small batches: the sculptural lava family, gloss and matt functional glazes, and limited runs that never reach the website. Every glaze has a fired test tile on the wall, so you buy what you can actually see.
Stains and colorants. Ceramic stains for body, slip and glaze work, plus oxides and carbonates. Browse the range at glost-glaze.com/collections/stains-colorants.
Clay bodies and casting slip. Porcelain (Audrey Blackman, Sapphire, Black Ice), stonewares including crank and speckled bodies, paper clay, and stoneware casting slip, from 500g test quantities to whole bags. The range is at glost-glaze.com/collections/smart-clay.
Raw glaze materials. The working chemistry set: feldspars, frits, whiting, bentonite, rutile, and the rest of the dry materials shelf, sold in quantities from 100g up.
Underglazes, tools and books. Brush-on underglazes, throwing and trimming tools, brushes, kilns furniture, and a curated shelf of glaze books we actually rate.
Workshops and learning
The studio is also where we teach. Glaze making workshops run from one-day introductions to the three-day Foundations course, alongside kiln firing fundamentals and glazing sessions for anyone who wants to spend two hours with real materials. Current dates and booking are on the workshops page.
GLOST is a small-batch ceramic glaze brand founded by Elena Gileva, an artist and ceramics teacher with nearly twenty years of glaze practice. The name comes from glost firing, the kiln process that turns raw glaze into finished surface. Each batch is tested. Each jar is its own small investigation.
