Developing Colour in Glazes - Intermediate 3 day workshop

This three-day workshop will give you a deeper understanding of how to make your own glazes and give you the knowledge to manipulate and refine your own recipes. Through a series of hands-on exercises you will explore key concepts such as how specific materials influence metal colouring oxides, how particular base glazes have an effect and how to measure the specific gravity of your glaze. This course is designed to elevate your glaze-making skills to the next level.

Each of the three sessions run from 11:00 to 16:30 with a 30-minute lunch break in between. 

The guidance is delivered from our experienced tutor and founder, Elena Gileva and includes all the necessary materials, clay test tiles, firings, and a dust mask. For a small additional cost, participants can choose to have their fired test tiles shipped to their home or we can arrange for a pickup free of charge.
